Lord Howe Island Holiday Packages
All rates are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST.
Standard Inclusions
Our ‘Complete Package’ rate includes accommodation, return island airport transfers, use of lodge facilities and all meals – full breakfast, lunch (either at Pinetrees, gourmet BBQ hamper or packed lunch), afternoon tea and 4-course dinner. All accommodation rates exclude drinks, airfares and other applicable levies and taxes.
Airfares
Pinetrees Travel books flights for most of our guests (with no booking or service fees) to ensure a simple and seamless booking experience. There are daily flights from Sydney with SmartLynx (with Qantas codeshare). Qantas connecting flights can be booked from your departure point to Sydney and back, allowing for smooth transitions through Sydney. Guests can book connecting flights themselves separate to their Sydney to Lord Howe Island flights, which can be a good use of frequent flyer points if you have enough. Please allow at least 2 hrs transit time in Sydney in each direction.
Travel Insurance
As travel to or from Lord Howe Island can be cancelled or delayed due to unforeseen circumstances, we strongly recommend travel insurance for all guests. Most flight disruptions are due to weather, so it’s important that you purchase travel insurance that covers the cost of additional accommodation or lost accommodation due to weather. Please double check the policy before you pay. Travel insurance is a very small portion of your total travel cost, and it provides complete peace of mind!
Check-in & Check-out
Check-in time is 3pm and check-out time is 10am. Early check-ins and late check-outs are sometimes available – please check with Pinetrees staff on the day.
Packages
Packages and special offers can’t be combined. We’ll always find the best package for your requirements.
Sole Use
Sole use of rooms is permitted and often lower than the price of 2 guests – please contact us for sole use rates and availability.
Additional Children and Adults in Rooms
When sharing with 2 adults and subject to space for a cot and/or bedding: a) children under 5 are free of charge; b) children aged 5 to 14 are charged a portion of the adult tariff; c) all other guests aged 15 and over are charged a portion of the adult tariff. As part of Lord Howe’s World Heritage listing, Pinetrees is licensed for 75 guests each night, and all people aged 5 and over are considered a guest.
Rates for Children
Children under 5 are free of charge when sharing with 2 adults or one adult paying the sole use rate (subject to space for a cot and/or bedding). Children aged 5 to 14 are charged are charged a portion of the adult tariff when sharing with 2 adults or the adult rate when sharing with one adult. All children aged 5-14 must share with another child, or one or two adults.
Rate Changes
Pinetrees Lodge reserves the right to alter rates, conditions and inclusions without notice.
Deposits & Payments
A non-refundable/non-transferable deposit of $550 per guest is required to confirm a booking. Airfares are due 2-7 days from booking (connecting flights may be due at time of booking). Full payment of the accommodation package balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. Bookings not paid in full by their due date may be cancelled. If a booking is made within 45 days of arrival, the full payment may be required at time of booking, or within 2-7 days (advised at time of quoting).
Cancellations
If a booking is cancelled for any reason prior to 45 days before arrival, all deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable (to other guests or alternative travel dates). If cancelled 45-30 days before arrival, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total tariff will be charged. A cancellation fee of 100% of the total tariff will be charged for cancellations within 30 days before arrival. A cancellation fee of 100% of the total tariff will be charged for no show on the day of arrival. There are no refunds for early departures. There are no refunds for missed nights due to delayed arrivals resulting from delayed/cancelled/disrupted travel plans. Cancelled flights are subject to the airline’s cancellation conditions – some airfares are non-refundable and some airfares are refundable with applicable fees. We recommend booking refundable airfares.
