Join Julia, our wonderful yoga and Pilates instructor for morning practice at the boatshed beside the stunning lagoon.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays enjoy a dynamic and fluid practice of creative vinyasa, movement synchronized with breath. The class often includes a mix of standing poses, balance poses, backbends, and sometimes inversions, to create a meditative and energizing practice. Classes vary in intensity, from focusing on strength and endurance early in the week, through to emphasising stretching and relaxation towards the end of the week. All classes end with a blissful savasana listening to the ocean and birds, leaving you feeling centered, and completely refreshed.
Tuesdays and Thursdays are for guests who prefer a little more burn, or what Julia calls ‘a bit more spicy!’. Our mat Pilates classes focus on low impact movement to build core strength, flexibility, and overall body strength using a mat, hand weights and Pilates ball. The ideal way to start your day feeling energized and exhilarated as you work your muscles whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the ocean and southern mountains.
With both yoga and Pilates we’ll offer props and modifications to ensure all levels from beginner to advanced are nurtured, challenged and safe.
Yoga & Pilates classes are for Pinetrees guests and staff only, and limited to 15 people, so it’s best to book before you arrive. Guests who book our one-week yoga/Pilates package have priority, but we normally have space for casual visitors.
