You don’t need to pack fancy clothes – guests wear resort wear, beach wear or active wear during the day, and smart casual clothes to dinner. We have a complimentary guest laundry with washing machines, detergent and clothes dryer. We also have clothes lines.
Please bring a jumper for cool evenings, which can occur even in summer. Spring or autumn evenings and mornings can get down to 15 degrees, and the wind chill can make it seem even cooler. Please pack enough warm clothes. We recommend checking the weather before you arrive to ensure you pack appropriately.
You should pack a reusable water bottle, torch, raincoat, swimming costumes, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, books, camera and accessories, reef walking shoes, prescription snorkelling mask, comfortable walking shoes, day pack and personal toiletries. If you’d like to enjoy our picnic lunch options, or relax on the lagoon foreshore with a sunset drink, then please bring a picnic blanket.
If you can’t survive without your ‘device’, you can bring your laptop or tablet. WiFi is available at Coral Café and Anchorage Café (and a number of hot spots around the island), but not at Pinetrees. It’s hard to believe, but you’ll probably thank us at the end of your stay.
Pinetrees provides hair dryers, bathrobes, beach towels, rain umbrellas and bathroom amenities (soap, shampoo and conditioner, but be sure to pack your own moisturiser). We also provide reef-safe sunscreen.
Other businesses hire bikes, cars, snorkelling equipment, diving equipment, surfboards, kayaks, SUPs, fishing equipment, beach umbrellas and golf clubs.
There are two general stores on the island, Joy’s and Thompson’s, where you’ll find a limited selection of most items.
You can download a packing list for Pinetrees here or a packing list for the Seven Peaks Walk here.
For families, we have a number of strollers you can use and cots are provided in the rooms for infants. You can bring your own stroller, but a portable cot is not necessary. A number of baby ‘cabooses’ are available to hire with your bikes from Wilson’s Hire, and kid’s helmets are also available (although you can bring your own if you have space). If you’d like to pre-book those (recommended for busy times of the year) please call Wilson’s Hire on 02 6563 2045 to reserve one for your stay. If you’d like more details about nappies and other baby items for sale on the island, then please call Joy’s Shop on 02 6563 2121 or Thompson’s Store on 02 6563 2155. Our chefs will prepare baby food, but you should bring extra treats and special foods for infants.
