Our Sallywood Suites have 58 sqm of interior and exterior space with French doors, louvre windows, cool tiles, wool carpet and Blackbutt decks. There’s a separate living room with cosy couches and beautiful coffee table books – see the floor plan. Each suite has a relaxed coastal style with local artwork by Ken Lees. They have a luxurious king bed (or twin single beds on request) and a lovely bathroom with an enclosed private drying deck. The covered outdoor living deck faces east onto subtropical gardens. The rooms are close to the main lodge and only 40m from the waterfront (for an easy dawn cup of tea by the Lagoon) – see our site map. We provide premium tea and coffee, plus some special treats on arrival, and a small Bluetooth stereo (bring music on your device). For a better feel for what to expect, watch the short video by film-maker Andy Lloyd.
It’s so peaceful and trouble free – a good place to unwind with all your needs met!!! Great for families!
Lord Howe Island is very special and I have told many people about it. Pinetrees Lodge remains special also – don’t change any of the traditions as it what makes it special and unique.
We were fortunate of having been recommended to Lord Howe Island and Pinetrees Lodge back in November 1952 where we spent our honeymoon. Much to our regret we delayed returning (to Pinetrees of course) until our 50th Wedding Anniversary and this November on the occasion of our 60th Anniversary. And except for there being some vehicles and many more guesthouses Lord Howe Island has remained as quiet and beautiful as ever. VERY highly recommended.
Very friendly atmosphere in every aspect. Lovely beaches and Island Tours were wonderful.
Pinetrees and Lord Howe Island are quite special in the way it subtly seduces you to adjust your pace to “Island time”. Look at those magnificent sunsets, marvel at the wildlife and just “be”. This experience will stay with me a long time until I hopefully return sometime soon!
Where in the world can you experience the rugged beauty of an Island and yet not notice all the other tourists? Nowhere. Lord Howe Island is pristine with a kick-back attitude that can’t be replicated. The ideal place to get marooned.
Having not been here for 30 years – loved it again. The atmosphere, casualness and service are next to none! Thank you all!
Lord Howe Island is an environmental treasure. Pinetrees Lodge in its pleasant setting amongst the palms enhances the holiday experience. Pinetrees helps you feel comfortable and relaxed with friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food.
