The Pinetrees Adventure Fitness Program is the first of its kind in Australia. We’ve combined the world-class coaching skill of Trevor Hendy – a former Australian and World Ironman champion – with the expertise of sports scientists to develop a fitness program that challenges your mind and body over five days. Why go to a suburban pool, gym or PT class, when you can ocean swim, trail run, mountain climb, kayak and bike ride around one of Australia’s best adventure destinations? You’ll even practice yoga beside the Lord Howe Island lagoon.
The Adventure Fitness Program has four levels – gentle, moderate, challenging and professional – and each level has 2-5 hours of fitness activities every day (don’t worry, 5 hours is for the professional athletes). The aim is to challenge you with a variety of strength and conditioning activities, in the safety of Lord Howe’s snake free wilderness, and then reward you with beautiful food, day spa treatments, perfect beaches and a sunset drink.
The Adventure Fitness Program has its own guide book with details on daily activities, benchmark times to assess your performance and health benefits. You’ll complete the program independently, at your own time and pace, with daily support from Pinetrees staff to help you with conditions and preparations. It’s suitable for individuals, couples, groups and teams, and at the very least, is a guaranteed way to burn the calories that you consume on holiday. Maybe you can have dessert after all.
